Rolling Acca – October

Today we are launching our latest installment of our ‘Rolling Acca’.

Edit: the 1st bet was a loser as Havant & Waterlooville failed to beat a lowly Wealdstone, so we’re starting again.

If you are new to the rolling acca, don’t worry as the rules are simple:
1 bet per day, no shorter than 1/2. We start with a £10 stake and if the bet wins, the whole balance goes on the following day’s bet, and so on.

We have a target of £1,000 before cashing out so if all bets were at, for example 4/6, it would take us 9 consecutive winning bets to reach £992.29. Most bets will be on football, but will also include darts, golf or racing if we see fit. We’ll be sticking with one bookie, in this case bet365, so we can use the same balance throughout.

We’ll do a brief write up of each bet too highlighting why we have included it – not just dishing out random selections!

2014 World Grand Prix Darts – Preview

The Citywest Hotel in Dublin will once again play host to the 2014 World Grand Prix Darts event which gets underway on Monday evening.

Before placing your bets, it is worth noting that the format of the World Grand Prix is different to any other TV event on the PDC calendar as players must start and finish on a double. So players who struggle to hit their doubles (none more so than Gary Anderson!) tend to struggle for obvious reasons and high scoring will only get them so far in the World Grand Prix!

KLM Open 2014 – Preview and Tips

The European Tour heads to Kennemer GC in the Netherlands this week for the 2014 KLM Open.

It is a tournament that has always tended to attract a quality field, with Seve Ballesteros, Bernard Langer and Colin Montgomerie winning this event in the past.

This par-70 links course is a tight, windy track; one that requires a tactical and patient approach.

Players who try and drive their way around here will suffer.

Instead of focusing on big hitters,we should be looking for players with good previous links golf records, which leads us nicely on to this week’s picks…
