The Manchester United defender’s omission was actually confirmed yesterday by manager Sir Alex Ferguson, once which almost certainly draws a line under his international career.

Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio celebrated his side’s promotion to League One by joining Toploader on stage at the weekend and warbling his way through their biggest (only?) hit, ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’.

We’re in the dying embers of the 2011/12 A-League Grand Final with the game tied and just seconds from going into extra-time.
The 4 added minutes have already been played when Brisbane Roar’s Besart Berisha takes an airshot, falls on his arse, appeals and incredibly gets given a penalty. Of course he then had the cheek to go on and celebrate before the penalty had already been converted. [Read full article »]

Chelsea were 9/2 to make the final before the tie got underway and are now just 15/8 (Sporting Bet) to progress after keeping the champions out at Stamford Bridge. That said this is the fifth time the two sides have met in the knockout stages of the competition and the Blues have gone through on just one occasion to date.
Roberto Di Matteo’s men come into the return leg knowing that a draw will be enough to see them through whilst they are 4/6 (Paddy Power) to score what could be a crucial away goal at the Nou Camp. [Read full article »]
