Wrestlemania XXVIII Betting

Yes, you read that right; you can now bet on WWE Wrestlemania XXVIII…

Paddy Power were the first bookmaker to offer odds on this weekend’s Wrestlemania matches, after being inundated with requests from wrestling fans all over the UK and Ireland. And now for the first time, fans can bet on WWE superstars such as John Cena, The Rock and Ireland’s very own Sheamus.

Since the Wrestlemania odds were released, The Undertaker has been backed in from 2/5 to 1/7 with Paddy Power. Irish fans were also keen on  Dublin’s Royal Rumble winner Sheamus who was backed into 2/5 (from 4/7) in a matter of hours.

George Osborne Evs to say “Tough Choices” during Budget Speech

Chancellor George Osborne is will deliver his budget speech later this morning and Ladbrokes are betting on a range of specials to make the speech rather more exciting!

According to Ladbrokes, Osborne is most likely to deliver his speech wearing a purple tie (2/1), closely followed by a blue number (3/1). A red tie would be controversial decision, hence the 12/1 being offered, whilst the 33/1 outsider in this market is white.

The ‘catchphrase’ is always a popular market and prices range from “deficit” (1/50) right through to “champagne” (33/1). For the racing fans amongst you, Ladbrokes are offering 6/1 for the Chancellor to use the phrase “long run”, and 25/1 for “big bucks” to make an appearance.

Cheltenham Festival – Day 4 Tips

Well the first 3 days of the Cheltenham Festival have been a real rollercoaster… and we’re not done yet!

We had a poor first day, followed by an amazing 2nd, but were brought back down to earth again yesterday. That said we go into the final day +6.8pts profit and so fingers crossed for some more luck today.
