Ballon d’Or Betting | Messi 8/13 to claim 4th Ballon d’Or title

FIFA have announced their 23-man shortlist for the 2012 Ballon d’Or, with a few surprising nominations.

As expected, the Spanish national team and La Liga players dominate the list, whilst five Premier League players are also present; six if you include Didier Drogba who was of course an influential figure in Chelsea’s Champions League winning side.

Blades must be backed at 4/5 to pile misery on Pompey

The home side are 10/3 (William Hill) to cause an upset in Group H, whilst England are Evs with Ladbrokes to make it 3 wins from 3 in their World Cup qualifying campaign. [Read full article »]

Ashley Cole 8/1 to re-offend on Twitter

With Ashley Cole to face FA charges following his #bunchoftwats tweet, Paddy Power have opened the betting on who will be the next England international to be charged for a comment made on the social network site.

Unsurprisingly the ever unpopular Chelsea defender is the bookie’s favourite to re-offend at 8/1 followed by Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe at 10/1 with Wayne Rooney and Glen Johnson also amongst the front runners at 12/1. [Read full article »]
