Wenger 9/4 NOT to be Arsenal Manager come start of next season

Arsene Wenger’s future at Arsenal is uncertain, according to respected football journalist Paul Hayward of the Daily Telegraph.

In today’s column he suggests that Paris Saint-Germain are “confident” of persuading Wenger the end his 17-year association with the Gunners and make the move back over the English Channel.

Reports have already been circling that Carlo Ancelotti is ready to move on after his short stint at PSG, which has seen them all but win the Ligue 1 title. They are 9 points clear of Marseille with just 4 games to play and the title could be wrapped up this weekend.

Punchestown Festival 2013 – Day 5 Tips

Its been a very good Punchestown Festival for us so far, with and incredible 19 of our 30 tips finishing in the top 3. Seven of those have gone on to win (3 yesterday), with some big each-way returns too (16/1, 14/1 etc).

What’s more 6 of our selections have been leading at the last obstacle and been caught on the run-in; so what has been a good week could have been an excellent one!

That said we’re still almost +18pts in profit for the Festival so far coming into the final day. So if you’d had £10 per point on all selections you’d be almost £180 better off. Not bad given we’ve been unlucky with a lot of runners!

Today’s racing is possible the toughest of the week to call, so please don’t go chasing if things don’t start well.

Don’t forget to take advantage of Bet Victor’s Mullins cashback offer; where they will be refunding your stake (as a free bet) if your selections finished 2nd to any Willie Mullins-trained winner. We cannot stress how good of an offer this could turn out to be – we’ve already been refunded twice already this week.

Punchestown Festival 2013 – Day 4 Tips

Its been a frustrating Punchestown Festival for us so far, with an excellent start but a real mixture of 2nds (six) and 3rds since. In fact 4 of those losers have led at the last fence/hurdle and been caught on the run-in.

Followmetocarlow was the most recent; miles clear at the last yet finished an eventual 3rd; tipped at 11/1.

That said we’re still over 6pts in profit for the Festival so far with two days to go. Lets hope we get a little more luck today.

We would advise not getting too involved today given the bottomless ground, but we do have a couple of decent fancies to get stuck into.

Punchestown Festival 2013 – Day 3 Tips

We’ve started the Punchestown Festival well, with +11pts profit from three winners on the opening day and then a winner and five 2nds yesterday.

Today’s big clash sees Solwhit take on the brilliant Quvega, unbeaten in her last 7 starts, in what could be a great race.

We have a couple of strong fancies today but there are some very tough races to predict too.

Punchestown Festival 2013 – Day 2 Tips

The Punchestown Festival got off to a flyer yesterday and we managed to solve some of the puzzles tipping up 3 winners to end the day +11pts in profit.

A fantastic field will line up for The Punchestown Gold Cup today and we should be in for a real treat as some of the best chasers go head to head again!

Punchestown Festival 2013 – Day 1 Tips

Although the Flat season is well and truly underway and the Newmarket Guineas meeting is fast approaching, the Punchestown Festival takes centre stage this week with some top class jumping action from Tuesday through to Saturday.

Sprinter Sacre is the star of Day 1, but you won’t get rich backing at 1/6 and so we’re delving into the form to try and find some value across today’s 7 races!

Today’s card is tough so keep stakes low, particularly in the 3:40, 4:55, 6:05 and 7:15. The key is to be patient as there will be much better value to be had later in the week. And don’t forget to take advantage of the offers available (highlighted below) as we’ll be tipping up with the cashback/refund offers in mind as a ‘back-up’.
