Alonso 22/1 to win fourth Bahrain Grand Prix

Whether you agree with the politics surrounding the Bahrain Grand Prix or not, it appears that it will now go ahead and fingers crossed everything goes smoothly.

Mercedes will be looking to follow up their victory in China and are 5/1 (SkyBet) to claim their second win of the season. Nico Rosberg claimed his first Formula One victory at the 111th time of asking in Shanghai and he is 9/1 to get his 2nd race win here in Bahrain.

The Bahrain GP has been raced just eight times to date, with Ferrari claiming half of them. They are likely to find it tough to complete the five-time however, hence why they are best-priced odds of 20/1 with Ladbrokes to do so.

Although Formula 1 is undoubtedly a global sport, the fact that eight of the 12 competing teams base themselves in the UK means that the British Grand Prix is about as close to a ‘home’ as this sport gets.
