Anderson & Newton value in 180 markets | Grand Slam of Darts Betting

The William Hill Grand Slam of Darts continues tonight at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall and there’s another 8 matches to get stuck into, all live on Sky Sports.

Whilst a race to 5 legs (best of 9) can throw up some shocks in the earlier rounds, we’ve tried to pick out the value on some of the key matches…

Terry Jenkins was poor against Wesley Harms on Sunday afternoon going down 5-2, but we expect The Bull to bounce back quickly and will be snapping up William Hill‘s 1/2 for him to beat Martin Phillips in the 2nd game of the night.

Next up Paul Nicholson (1/5) should have no trouble seeing off Barrie Bates, though Bates might represent some value on the handicap if he can hit some doubles, with Boylesports offering 13/10 with a +2.5 head start.

Andy Hamilton has really cemented his position in the top 10 over the last couple of years or so and we fancy him to get the better of Northern Irishman Brendan Dolan at 4/7 (Sporting Bet) in their match.

That said this will be a much stiffer test than that posed by the aforementioned Bates in his last outing and Dolan on the handicap (5/6, +1.5 – Victor Chandler) is certainly worth a 2nd look.

Gary Anderson is a notoriously high scorer and whilst he looks a little short at 8/15 to beat an in-form Tony O’Shea, we fancy him to hit more 180s than O’Shea this evening (Evs - SkyBet).

In the final game of the night Wes Newton looks great value at 8/13 (Sporting Bet) to taste victory against Dutchman Wesley Harms. Newton, like Anderson, also looks a cracking price to rack up more 180s than his opponent too (10/11Boylesports).
