Back the ‘Bully Boy’ to progress in the Grand Slam

Tonight sees Michael Smith and Ted Hankey lock horns in what is a crucial Group H match in the Grand Slam of Darts, and we fancy the youngster to come out on top at 4/5 (SkyBet).

Smith is leading the head-to-head stats 3-0 and that is a trend which we think will continue tonight.

He has been playing well so far in the tournament; throwing brilliantly against Dave Chisnall and whilst he lost to Scott Waites, he still has a 95 tournament average which is not to be sniffed at.

Hankey did throw quite well against Chisnall too, but is averaging just 88 which is 7 below Smith.

He has won numerous events in his career but he has really been struggling for the past few years and unfortunately his health problems have really began to take their toll.

Smith’s high scoring could prove too much for Hankey on the night and we fancy him to go on and win this match and qualify for the next round.

Michael Smith – 4/5 (SkyBet)
