City could steam-roll injury hit Latics side

Wigan Athletic host Man City in tonight’s live televised game and the home side have lost 6 of their last 7 against the reigning Premier League Champions.

During that run the Latics have managed just a single goal, failing to score against their opponent in their last five attempts.

Add to that Wigan’s injury concerns coming into this game and its easy to see why Man City are odds-on favourites (8/15 with Paddy Power) to leave with all three points.

Roberto Martinez will be missing Watson, McArthur, Crusat, Alcaraz, Maloney and Miyaichi; all of whom are ruled out with injury, whilst captain Gary Caldwell and vice-captain Ivan Ramis are both doubts too.

Mancini on the other hand will have almost a full squad to pick from, with just Micah Richards and Jack Rodwell missing.

With that in mind they look a great price to win by more than a single goal and Paddy Power are offering City at a generous 13/10 on the -1 goal handicap.

Carlos Tevez has an excellent record against the Latics too, scoring 4 in his five appearances for Man City against Wigan. The Argentine forward is 11/10 to get on the scoresheet tonight and 4/1 to bag the first goal of the game (Victor Chandler).

Another interesting stat is that Wigan have conceded more penalties (4) that any other Premier League side so far this season and City are 9/2 to score one tonight (Bet365).
