Dutch captain 13/8 to be booked | Germany v Holland Preview

Germany have won just three of their last 12 meetings with the Dutch (drawn 5, lost 4) but come into this game as 6/4 favourites following their victory over Portugal, whilst Holland are as big as 2/1 with Victor Chandler, in a game they must get something out of. If the Germans win the game they will qualify for the knock-out stages whilst the Dutch will be out of contention.

Joachim Low’s men beat Portugal 1-0 on the night and a repeat scoreline tonight is 9/1 with William Hill. Despite not being at their best in that game they are current tournament favourites at 3/1.

Mario Gomez struggled in the first half but scored the winning goal when the chance came his way and he is 6/1 to open the scoring again.

Holland, despite dominating possession, also struggled in front of goal in the first Euro 2012 game against Denmark, with Robin Van Persie and Arjen Robben wasting a hat-full of chances.

RVP is 7/1 to score first tonight, whilst Klaas Jan Huntelaar might get his chance up top and is slightly bigger at 8/1 (11/4 anytime – both with Paddy Power).

Whilst there is an array of attacking talent on display, we fancy this one to be a tight game and the Under 2.5 goals looks tempting at 10/11 (Victor Chandler).

If you’re looking for an alternative bet you could do worse than Marc Van Bommel (13/8) or Nigel De Jong (7/4) to be booked at anytime – both best-priced at Ladbrokes.

Germany v Holland Tips

Marc Van Bommel to be booked – 13/8 (Ladbrokes)
Under 2.5 Goals - 10/11 (Victor Chandler)
Germany 1-0 – 9/1 (William Hill)
