Back Kim to outscore his big brother on the oche

Dec16

The 2014 PDC World Championship got off to a flyer over the weekend as we saw two 9-dart finishes in the first couple of days!

We landed 3 of the 4 selections last night, with just Chisnall letting us down for a clean sweep.

Tonight’s action is a bit more low-key with none of the top 10 players on show. That said there are some potentially close 1st Round matches to get stuck into for tonight’s darts tips…

The 3rd match of the night sees the two Huybrechts brothers do battle on the oche and the bet here has to be for Kim to score more 180’s than his older brother.

Whilst neither players are particularly heavy scorers, Kim has averaged 2.9 180’s per match over his career compared to Ronny’s 1.5.

What’s more, in their last meeting (Grand Slam of Darts) Kim scored eight 180’s to Ronny’s three and the 1/2 (Bet365, Paddy Power) looks a great bet for him to score Most 180’s again.

Our 2nd darts tip comes in the final match of the night where Mervyn King takes on American Darin Young, who in our opinion should be playing in this event.

He is one of a handful of overseas players pitched in the event to try and make it a truly ‘World’ Championship, but he is way off a top 64 standard, highlighted by his mid-80’s 3-dart average.

This will be Young’s 8th appearance in the event and has won just once where he saw off an under-par Andy Smith.

King will be in no mood for hanging around and we fancy him to cover the -1.5 handicap at 8/13 (SkyBet).

If you fancy doubling up the two selections you’ll be looking at almost 6/4.

Selections:
Kim Huybrechts (Most 180’s) – 1/2 (Bet365, Paddy Power)
Mervyn King (-1.5 Handicap) – 8/13 (SkyBet)

Got something to say?
