Mark Hughes now odds-on to be first managerial casualty

QPR are still in search of their first Premier League win of the season after managing just a point against fellow strugglers Reading, yet despite public backing of owner Tony Fernandes, it appears that bookmakers still expect Mark Hughes to be the first managerial casualty of the season – at least if the betting is anything to go by.

Sparky is now a shade of odds-on (10/11) with Victor Chandler to be first out, and as short as 11/8 with William Hill to leave his position before the end of 2012.

Other managers who look to be in danger are Nigel Adkins (11/4), whose Saints side desperately need to get something from their trip to the Hawthorns tonight, and Martin O’Neill, who is 20/1 to be relieved of his position first – despite his side managing just one win and six goals so far this season.
