Messi 5/6 to net 75+ goals in 2013

Unless you’ve been living on Mars you’ll know that 2012 has been an incredible year for Lionel Messi, with the Argentine striker netting a brilliant 91 goals in a single calendar year to smash Gerd Müller’s record of 82; a record which has stood since 1972.

There have also been rumours circulating this week that the Barca star turned down an incredible £460k per week from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala after they agreed the meet the £200m+ release clause set out in his contract.

The three-time World Player of the Year, then pledged his future to Barcelona by putting pen to paper on a new long-term deal with the Catalan giants.

And with 2013 on the horizon, those boys at Paddy Power have priced up how they think the little man will perform in 2013; setting the Over/Under Goals spread at 74.5 – meaning that you can get 5/6 on him scoring 75 goals or more.
