Moses to Chelsea, Wigan 7/4 for the drop

Victor Moses looks set to become Roberto Di Matteo’s latest signing after the two clubs finally agreed a fee for the player, rumoured to be around £10m.

The Nigerian international is expected to complete his medical within the next 24 hours but is unlikely to feature in Chelsea’s opening game of the season when they face Moses’ current club Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium on Sunday.

Bookies are still taking bets on Moses’ next club, but SkyBet‘s odds of 1/8 are unlikely to tempt many punters in.

But after witnessing the 21 year old’s dazzling performances in the latter stages of last season, Wigan fans must be concerned with how their team will get on without him.

The Latics are 4/7 to finish in the bottom 5, whilst Paddy Power make them 7/4 to face the drop and as big as 6/1 to finish rock bottom; a price that will surely collapse should Wigan get off to another poor start this time around.

For the more optimistic amongst you, SkyBet make Roberto Martinez’s men 1/2 to make it nine consecutive seasons in the top flight.

Got something to say?
