Real Madrid 13/8 to notch first win against Bayern on German soil

Real Madrid travel to the Allianz Arena tomorrow night to take on Bayern Munich in the first of two Champions league semi-finals, knowing they have yet to beat the German Champions on their own turf.

The Spanish table-toppers have lost eight and drawn just one of their nine games v Bayern so far and are 13/8 (bet365) to get their first win there at the 10th time of asking.

Bayern Munich have been in great form in this year’s Champions League competition; having won 12 of their last 13 Champions League games at the Allianz Arena – the only exception being their defeat to Inter Milan in March 2011. In that sort of form the home-side look a big price at 17/10 (Ladbrokes).

The last time both sides met was in the last 16 of the 2006/07 Champions League, a tie in which Bayern Munich progressed on away goals (4-4). Real Madrid are 1/2 favourites (bet365) to make the final this time around though, whilst the Germans are 6/4 (Victor Chandler).

Cristiano Ronaldo has been in blistering form, scoring 8 goals in his 8 Champions league games and netting 53 goals in all competitions so far this season. The Portuguese winger-turned-striker is 4/1 with Paddy Power to net the first goal, and just Evs to score anytime.

The Germans will be relying on Mario Gomez, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery to supply their goals, who are 11/2, 7/1 and 10/1 respectively to get their names on the scoresheet first according to Victor Chandler.

Barcelona will take on Chelsea in the 2nd semi-final and the Spanish Champions head the Champions League betting at this stage.
