Stick with Suarez & Cavani to put Jordanians to bed

Jordan host Uruguay this afternoon in the first leg of their World Cup Qualifier and we fancy the South Americans to run out comfortable winners, despite being away from home.

They defeated Argentina 3-2 last month on a run which has seen them win 8 of their last 12 games, losing the remaining four, three of which came against Spain, Brazil and Italy (on penalties in the Confederations Cup). The -2 handicap looks like great value at 7/4 with Bet365.

Jordan on the other hand needed a penalty shootout against Uzbekistan to make the final qualifying round. They are unbeaten in 10 games, but they include results against the likes of Oman, Palestine, Syria and Kuwait.

All of the Jordanians play locally or in the gulf countries, they don’t have European or South American experience and Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and co. should have a field day.

The Liverpool front-man has been on fire this season since returning from his ban, scoring 8 goals in 6 matches for the Reds. He scored a brace against Fulham on the weekend and is as big as 4/1 to score another this afternoon.

It will be no surprise to see him on the scoresheet again and we are siding with the generous 5/6 (Bet365) to score anytime.

Uruguay (-2) – 7/4 (Bet365)
Luis Suarez (Anytime Goalscorer) – 5/6 (Bet365)

Got something to say?
