Back a Black Cats 0-0 half-time draw at 15/8

Tonight’s Premier League actions sees the rearranged match between Sunderland and Reading in what is already billed as a 6-pointer.

The Black Cats have failed to win a single of their last 9 league games (D6, L3), picking up just 13 points from their last 15 games under Martin O’Neill, but they are Evs (Paddy Power) to return to winning ways tonight.

They have however failed to score in 6 of their last 8 Premier League games this season and that is the managers main concern.

By contrast Reading come into the game knowing that they have goals throughout the team.

The Royals have posed a threat when going forward, but their problems lie at the back, having shipped 28 goals already (only QPR, Wigan and Southampton have conceded more) and have lost their last 4 on the bounce.

McDermott’s men are best-priced 16/5 (SkyBet) to register what would be just their 2nd win of the season, and  are 2/1 with Bet365 in the ‘Draw No Bet’ market.

We fancy this to be a tight, nervy game, especially during the early stages given that it is a game neither side can really afford to lose. With that in mind the 0-0 half-time score (15/8, SkyBet) looks to be about the best value around.
