Happy Birthday Leo!

To celebrate Lionel Andres Messi’s 24th Birthday we thought we should take a brief look back at what ‘Leo’ has achieved in his short, yet successful career to date.

Since making his debut for Barcelona in 2004/05, he has won 5 La Liga titles and 3 Champions League titles and been nominated World Footballer of the year twice. An amazing feat in itself given that he is still only 24.

Having scored 12 goals in last season’s Champions League, he became only the third player in history (following Gerd Müller and Jean-Pierre Papin) to top-score in three consecutive European Cup campaigns.

Messi has scored exactly 100 goals over the last two seasons; 47 in 2009/10 (equaling Ronaldo’s then record for Barcelona), followed by an incredible 53 goals last season.

With that in mind, and the fact that we are running out of superlatives, we stumbled across this video on YouTube showing all his 53 goals from the 2010/10 season.

What better way to enjoy your Friday afternoon. Enjoy and let us know your favourite below…
