Back the ‘Bully Boy’ to progress in the Grand Slam

Nov11

Tonight sees Michael Smith and Ted Hankey lock horns in what is a crucial Group H match in the Grand Slam of Darts, and we fancy the youngster to come out on top at 4/5 (SkyBet).

Smith is leading the head-to-head stats 3-0 and that is a trend which we think will continue tonight.

Whilst a race to 5 legs (best of 9) can throw up some shocks in the earlier rounds, we’ve tried to pick out the value on some of the key matches…

Terry Jenkins was poor against Wesley Harms on Sunday afternoon going down 5-2, but we expect The Bull to bounce back quickly and will be snapping up William Hill‘s 1/2 for him to beat Martin Phillips in the 2nd game of the night.

This year’s World Matchplay Darts tournament will be sponsored by SkyBet, who have taken over from long-term sponsors Stan James.

The PDC’s top 32 players will compete for the 18th World Matchplay title (and the £100,000 winners’ cheque!) at The Winter Gardens in Blackpool; what better place to hold such a prestigious darts event than the famous Empress Ballroom.
