Bank on Waites to progress | Grand Slam of Darts Betting

After a couple of excellent betting days on the Grand Slam of Darts, last night was somewhat of a frustrating one with Anderson, O’Shea and Kist all finding themselves in strong positions but missing doubles to win when it mattered.

Hopefully we’ll have a little more luck tonight as the knockout stages get underway over the longer format (best of 19 legs) and we’ve previewed each match in turn…

Back the Silverback to send Part packing

We’ve been in great form with our tips so far on the William Hill Grand Slam of Darts tips having tipped up 12 winning bets from 16, with last night’s headline tip (Mervyn King to beat James Wade at 11/10) winning comfortably.

Tonight sees the round robin stage draw to a close with lots of places in the knockout stages still up for grabs!

In the opener, reigning World Champion Adrian Lewis takes on Gary Anderson. Lewis is already out regardless of the result and we fancy the Scot to pile more misery on “Jackpot” Lewis at what looks a decent price (10/11 with Coral).

Why the The Wizard can win the World Grand Prix

The World Grand Prix gets underway later this evening as thirty-two of the world’s best darters players do battle in a unique double-start tournament over in Dublin.

What sets this tournament apart from the rest is the fact that players must start and finish on a double, so its often wise to follow the players that can keep their cool on the doubles, as high scoring will only get them so far in the World Grand Prix!

Phil Taylor, rather unsurprisingly, heads the betting at 7/4 with Paddy Power and that will surely tempt a few backers in, but we’re looking for a little more value than that. [Read full article »]
